A Synopsis of Elizabeth

I’m a geeky farmhouse housewife, and I blog about an eclectic variety of things. So, look around and find what suits you! Thank you for visiting.

Below is a short synopsis of my blog categories;

Cook Long and Prosper: Step-by-step recipes and meals. From my table to yours, with love. I hope you Cook Long and Prosper… and always Cook Like a Champion.

Housewife Confessions: I never planned on being a housewife, or living on a farm… but here I am! I believe that marriage is the greatest of all adventures, and my marriage has definitely been full of adventures! I share some of them in this category.

Geek Chronicles: I drink from an R2-D2 mug while watching StarTrek with my dog. I have a StarTrek cup but I use it when I watch horror films and Batman with my cat. I made this category so I could “Let my Geek Flag Fly!”

My World Travels: From America to China, with love… and some places in between. Here you will find posts and pictures from my world travels.

America: The Greatest Country Ever Stolen: I don’t like to blog about controversial topics, but sometimes I can’t help myself. I was a History/Political Science major in college… “This country was taken from the Natives, built by the Chinese, and maintained by the Africans. Regardless, I love the the good ole’ Red, White, and Blue.”

Library Diaries: Going Gonzo: A category filled with Fear and Loathing, in an Uncustomary way… Blog posts in honor of Hunter S. Thompson, with my flare added.

Photo and Writing Challenges: WordPress challenges bloggers with photo and writing prompts, sometimes I rise to the challenge.

Note, some posts will appear in more than one folder, as they touch on more than one topic. I hope you visit frequently.

  1. So Elizabeth, you decided to join the small clan of Uncle Spike followers, sometimes known as The Spikey’s…. That makes me a happy blogger now – I really appreciate you making that special mouse click.

    Hope you like my upcoming posts and if you get bored one day, maybe you’ll enjoy trawling through some of my older stuff too.

    • You’ll get the hang of it pretty quickly. Follow “The Daily Post”, they post writing prompts daily and weekly, sometimes I rise to the challenge, they are pretty cool prompts. Check my page out (Click the black menu bar at the top of my page). I blog about a lot of different topics, but that’s the cool thing about blogging, isn’t it? We can write about whatever we want.
      I’m glad to see you’re doing well. It’s nice to hear from you.

      • It’s been well, thank you! I’ve really enjoyed it the past several months, and have gotten to the point that I feel badly if I don’t get to post! lol. How have you been?

  3. Hello! I’ve just found your blog, via a weekly challenge you wrote. It’s a great blog! I’m quite new to blogging and write about lots of different things. We live on a yacht in Greece, but are currently in the uk visiting friends and family. When we get back to the boat, my blog will mostly be about sailing, and the places we visit, but at the moment it’s a rather random blog about what I get up to every day.
