The Scale of a Chinese Pagoda

The first time I visited the Summer Palace in China I took a series of photos of the Yu Quan Hill and the Yu Feng Pagoda then wrote a blog about it. During fall of the following year I returned to the Summer Palace and picked up where I left off with my photo shoot. The first time I photographed the tranquility of the pagoda, the second time I photographed the scale. Miles away in the distance you can see the pagoda standing like a strong and dependable watchman, standing strong since the Liao Dynasty (907-1125).

I hope you enjoy this 5-photo series– and yes, the pagoda is in every picture.
