I was nominated for the Versatile Blogger Award by Sonja from the Too Much Character Blog. The Versatile Blogger Award is given to bloggers by bloggers. This award is peer recognition for bloggers, and their versatile work.
Versatile Blogger Award Rules: (1) Thank the person who nominated you, and link to their blog, (2) Share 7 facts about yourself, (3) Nominate 15 bloggers for the award.
I want to start by properly thanking Sonja for this nomination. Sonja’s blog, Too Much Character, is really cool. She writes about her life as a stay-at-home-mom, and she does it with a flair that I absolutely love. Her blog is personable, funny, and honest. From mental health posts, to fun how-to posts, and memes — I always love Sonja’s blog. So, I’m delighted to receive this nomination from her. Thank you, Sonja!
7 Facts About Me
I’m a very versatile and eclectic person, which makes it extremely easy for me to give versatile facts about myself. Additionally, I blog about some really versatile content… So, I’m revealing facts about myself by reintroducing my blog categories:
I am a housewife
I never planned on being a full-time housewife, or living on a farm…. but now I’m doing both, and I love it. In my blog’s Housewife Confessions Category I write about my marriage, myself, and some of the things I’m discovering along the way.
I love cooking
Cooking is the perfect balance of self-care and care for others. No matter how bad my day has been, when I start cooking all the badness seems to fade into the background. Suddenly it’s just me and pasta, or pizza, or soup, or risotto… or whatever the meal of the day is. Cooking is also something I can offer to others: cooking a meal for someone is the prefect act of love and service. I also share some of my favorite step-by-step recipes and food stories in the Cooking Category of my blog. I hope you’ll try the recipes, and enjoy!
I am a huge geek
Being a geek means never having to play it cool about how much you love something. Geeks are allowed to be unapologetically enthusiastic about things, and that’s what I do in my blog’s Geek Category; horror films, comic books, Broadway shows, and beyond!
I don’t mind talking about mental health
I have Bipolar Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and Anxiety. I don’t mind talking about my mental illness and mental health, and that’s what I do in the Mental Health Category of my blog… I hope my words help and encourage others.
I want to help other people talk about mental health
I want to show people that they aren’t alone. So, I started the Not Alone Series: This series allows individuals to tell their mental health stories on my blog and social network platforms. I hope that people will read these stories, and realize that they are not alone.
I care about social connectivityÂ
Although I’m not good at social connectivity, I sincerely care about connecting with others. I’m socially awkward, and my anxiety makes social connectivity difficult for me… But I try, really hard, especially online: in addition to my personal social network accounts, I have blog accounts. You can connect with me on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Also, there is a Collaborations and Contributors Category on my blog: a place for me to share collaborative works.
I love writing eclectic content
My blog is a representation of my life, and I write about a variety of things. One day, I can write a vulnerable and personal post about mental health, and the next I can write a fun post about comic books… I LOVE IT! In addition to the eclectic things I’ve already mentioned, I also write about; travel, religion, and many other topics… I’ve even dabbled in poetry. So, my blog is odd, and uncustomary, and covers a lot of content… but that’s me!
