“As long as there was coffee in the world, how bad could things be?” (Clary, City of Ashes)
A book quote about one of my favorite things. Pretty perfect, huh?
But do you wanna know something that isn’t so perfect? A cat that breaks a BUNN Coffee Pot.
I heard the crash,
ran to the kitchen,
and caught the culprit red handed.
Oops! Not many would have the presence of mind to capture the shot before the chase and cleanup! Well done.
Thank you. The picture was sent to my husband, immediately. Who promptly placed an order for a replacement pot.
Great photo of a split-second story! I am guessing caffeine cat had a look that said, “What’s the problem?” LOL!
He was confident that his actions were justified. I couldn’t even be mad at him. I was actually too afraid he would cut himself, I didn’t have time to be mad.
Cats….. ya just gotta love ’em! Glad he was not cut or burned by hot coffee!!!!
I’d like to find out more? I’d like to find out more details.
Hello, onlinescrapbook. What would you like to know?

Nice shot, Elizabeth 🙂
Thank you, Stefano.
I think it totally makes the ‘split second’ point, that the cat is clearly already trying to escape the scene and so is slightly blurry in the photo. Just like my ‘culprit’ I caught red handed in my entry for the challenge this week – http://readsbyredriverbanks.wordpress.com/2014/05/31/weekly-photo-challenge-split-second-story/- if you fancy a look!
Brilliant entry, lovely blog. I’ll be popping by often.
I love how he stuck around after the fact! Was he licking it off the floor? Great presence of mind to take a quick pick!
Yes. Before I stopped him and took the picture he was licking it off the floor. I was so scared that he would lick up a piece of glass. I had to put him in another room while I cleaned it up, he loves coffee now.
Bad kitty! But sure looks adorable 🙂
Thanks. It’s mighty hard to be mad at someone who is so adorable!

Cats always making trouble, but always adorable!
He has a new favorite thing now. He has moved on from coffee, now he loves socks. I find them hid all over the house.
That is a funny story.
Thank you.

Ah, the joys of living with cats. You never know what they will knock down next.
