Creole Makes Me Say “BAM!”

Daily Post Prompt: “What’s the one item in your kitchen you can’t possibly cook without? Why?”

If I had a “cooking tool belt” Creole would be in the most accessible spot on it… A dash of paprika, pinch of salt, tad bit of garlic powder, then throw in some black pepper, onion powder, cayenne, oregano, and thyme… And BAM you’ve got Creole!

Confession: I say “BAM!” when I add it to meals… It’s that good.

I keep it on hand for giving just about any savory dish a “kicked-up” flavor; pork chops, spaghetti, omelets, cheese balls, I even mix it with BBQ sauce when I marinade steaks.

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not the best housewife in the world, and I am by no means the world’s greatest cook. But I do my best, and Creole really helps… Seriously though, when I follow recipes and they instruct me *add two parts oregano, and one part thyme* I just add a couple teaspoons of Creole…. and it works.

So, go to Kroger, purchase some Creole, and yell “BAM!” the next time you cook! You can thank me later.

  4. I never used Tony’s or creole seasoning till I married my husband who has deep South roots. I love it on fried eggs. Give it a try if you haven’t. Super tasty.
